One area where superhero movies, particularly the MCU, have been lacking is the concept of a team of villains. This would allow for some sense of closure to the 2015 film while also assuring fans that every part of the Marvel Multiverse, even not well-regarded films, can have a place in the wider story. Teller's version of the character was inspired by the Ultimate version of Reed Richards, so it feels appropriate to see him become The Maker. While that film was critically panned and not liked by fans, Miles Teller is a respected actor, and his role in Top Gun: Maverick has put him back on people's radar. The best pick would also be to bring back Miles Teller, who previously played Reed Richards in the 2015 Fantastic Four reboot. Bringing in an evil version of Reed Richards while at the same time a heroic version of the character is being introduced in the MCU Fantastic Four movie would make for a great parallel. He is one of the greatest threats in the multiverse and played a role in 2015's Secret Wars and the recent Ultimate Invasion. The Maker originated in the Ultimate Comics universe and is an evil version of Reed Richards, aka Mr. The final multiverse villain that could tie into Marvel's past cinematic history is The Maker. Anyone of those four as the main villain of an Avengers movie would get fans excited. It appears the MCU is prepping for some type of X-Men and Avenger showdown, so what better way to unite the heroes than with a powerful mutant villain? Since it is a merging of Professor X and Magneto, the filmmakers have their choice of bringing back Patrick Stewart again or Ian McKellen or James McAvoy or Michael Fassbender. The conclusion of The Marvels saw Monica Rambeau end up in an alternate universe with The X-Men, one that is close to the reality of the 20th Century Fox film versions. Onslaught also builds off some pre-established MCU plot threads. With rumors circulating of an MCU reboot after Phase 6, Onslaught might be the perfect villain to do that. Onslaught is a merging of Professor X and Magneto's mind and is a powerful psychic villain who in the comics is responsible for the poorly received Heroes Reborn initiative in the 1990s that saw Marvel attempt to reboot their characters. The next multiversal threat is tied to the the X-Men, Onslaught. Maestro allows Marvel to do the Hulk vs the Avengers showdown from the comics without backtracking on the characterization that they've put into the MCU version of Bruce Banner. The filmmakers could bring in Mark Ruffalo to pull double duty as both the Hulk and Maestro or tie it into the wider multiverse by bringing back Eric Bana as the 2003 Hulk. He could be from an alternate timeline where humanity was wiped out, and he wants revenge on the heroes for failing the world and looks to save it by any means necessary. Featuring a future evil version of the Hulk could allow the MCU to do a loose adaptation of World War Hulk, with the Maestro in the place of the normal Hulk and, this time, declaring war on the MCU. The first up is Maestro, who is a future version of the Hulk from a post-apocalyptic wasteland. If Marvel Studios is looking for a replacement for Kang the Conqueror and still wants a villain tied to the Multiverse so that the Multiverse Saga won't feel like an odd stop-and-start, there are three powerful multiversal villains that could fit the mold. Update November 25, 2023: With recent reports surrounding the MCU looking to move away from Kang the Conqueror as the main villain of the Multiverse Saga, this article has been updated with more villains who could be such a powerful threat the Avengers are forced to reunite. Here are ten villains Marvel should consider as the villain for the next Avengers movie. Luckily, there is no shortage of powerful villains that could bring Earth Mightiest Heroes together again. Yet recent reports suggest the franchise will pivot away from Kang, despite a heavy push for him in Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and find a new villain. The initial idea appeared to be that The Avengers would be reunited to fight Kang the Conqueror. It is a world of heroes, and while they can stand on their own, eventually, there will come a threat that will unite them. Marvel, Shang-Chi, Moon Knight, The Eternals, Werewolf by Night, and She-Hulk. Meanwhile, the universe has been filling up with new heroes like Ms. The universe still has plenty of heroes to defend it, like the new Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, Wasp, Sam Wilson as the new Captain America, and War Machine.
